Today was the business fair at U of I. This was my first business fair. It basically was what I expected and the outcome was similar. Hundreds of students came out to basically lie to possible employers. I have done this and this and this is why I would be a valuable part of your company. Having the background of the industry is a plus, but really selling yourself is the key. How can one sell themselves? For some reason, when I think of this question, I think of the movie "Catch Me If You Can." This kid got all around the world by selling himself. He was a master of the art.
After today, I realized I need a lot more practice on selling myself.
